Blog-3 Valentines’ Day, hey!

Hello! to all you lovely and beautiful people. It’s been a while since I have written my last blog on Halloween and unfortunately did not get a chance to write one on Christmas. Lot of family and crazy stuff was happening and as much as I missed writing and wanting to post my next blog, I simply couldn’t get to it. Better late than never, here I am for some romantic Valentine’s Day decor!

Love is in the air, and what better way to celebrate the season of romance than by transforming our home into a haven of love and enchantment? With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s perfect time to add a touch of romance and create a cozy atmosphere that will make your heart skip a beat. So, grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, and let’s dive into the world of Valentine’s Day home decor!

  • Romantic Color Palette: Use a palette of red, pinks, and whites to create a romantic atmosphere.
  • Wreath: Hang a wreath or a heart shaped one on the front door. You can make one using red and pink flowers, ribbons and heart-shaped decorations.
  • Floral Arrangement: Fresh flowers, particularly roses, can add a touch of elegance to different rooms. Consider floral centerpieces on table or scattered petals for a subtle touch.
  • Cozy Throws & Pillows: Spruce up sofas with plush throws & pillows with pink, red, and white pillows for a comfy & loved-filled setting.
  • Candles Everywhere: Incorporate candles of various sizes and shapes for warm and cozy ambiance.
  • Table Settings: Set a romantic dinner table with heart-shaped placemats, red napkins, and elegant table ware.
  • Love-Inspired Table Center Piece: Create a beautiful center piece of your dining table using fresh flowers or a decorative bowl filled with rose petals.
  • Romantic Candlelight Dinner: Setup a cozy & romantic dinner table with soft candlelight.
  • Romantic Bedroom Setup: Decorate your bedroom with roses/rose petals on the bed with cozy pillows and soft lighting.
  • Love-themed Wall Art: Create or purchase love-themed wall art, such as heart-shaped collage of you and your partner, or a romantic quote framed on wall.

Lastly, let’s get into some outdoor Valentine decor, which is my personal favorite!

  • String lights: Hang fairy lights or string lights in heart shapes around the patio for a whimsical and magical feel.
  • Outdoor cushions: Add heart-patterned or red cushions to your outdoor furniture for a touch of Valentine’s day charm.
  • Cozy Blankets: Place warm and cozy blankets on outdoor seating for a comfortable and intimate setting.
  • Fire Pit: If you have a fire pit, use it to create a warm and inviting space.
  • Candle Lanterns: Use candle lanterns to provide soft, flickering light for a romantic ambiance.
  • Outdoor Rug: Lay down a festive outdoor rug with heart-shaped or Valentine’s Day colors to tie the decor together.

TODAY’S TIP

The key is to create a warm and loving atmosphere, so personalize based on your preferences and preferences of your loved ones. Remember to consider weather-resistant materials for outdoor decor, and tailor decorations to suit your personal style and the overall vibe you want to create on your patio for Valentine’s Day.

Have fun decorating and spreading the love throughout your home!

The fun begins!!

Here I am again, with my second blog.

So, my son had a dentist appointment this week. On my way I kept thinking about what topic to choose for my second blog, along with million other things that mommies think about while driving, walking, cooking, cleaning, sleeping etc.. I had a couple of topics in my mind for this week to write about but I wasn’t sure what to pick. Anyhow, so we got to the appointment and passed by a Dollarama right next to the clinic. After we were done, my son wanted to do some Halloween shopping and while he is picking up decoration for his room that’s when it hit me. Let’s do a Fall/Halloween blog this week!

Personally, I barely get time to do Fall/Halloween décor or I do it last minute, but I enjoy the process and especially if you do some of it with your little ones. So let’s get on with some fun fall décor ideas.

  • Table Setting: You can create an elegant fall-theme with some table cloths, placemats, and seasonal dinnerware.
  • Seasonal Scents: Use scented candles, diffusers, spicy scents like apple cinnamon or pumpkin spice to set a warm ambiance.
  • Seasonal Wall Art: Hang or display autumn-inspired artwork or wall decals throughout your home.
  • Mantel Décor: Adorn your fireplace mantel with fall garlands, pumpkins, candles and framed autumn art. You can either keep it simple with garland or wreath or keep adding as per your taste.
  • Pumpkin Arrangements: Arrange a variety of pumpkins, gourds and squashes as a striking display on your kitchen counter or mantle.
  • Entry Display: Welcome your guests with a fall-themed entryway, featuring wreath on the front door, a seasonal doormat and potted mums.
  • Fall Florals: Decorate with fall flowers like mums and dried wheat in vases or as centerpiece.
  • Autumn Rugs & Pillows: Lay down area rugs and incorporate warm, earthy tones like oranges, reds, and browns through throw pillow, blankets, and décor.
  • Cozy Bedding: Swap out your bedding for warmer, autumn-colored linens and cozy throw blankets.

I hope this blog is useful to all of you lovely people out there and help in creating some cozy fall décor.

TIP OF THE WEEK: Remember to mix and match these ideas to suit your personal style and bring the welcoming feel of fall into your home. A little goes a long way, so you don’t need to completely redecorate. Just a few well-placed fall accents can instantly transform your space for the season.

Happy Fall, Happy Halloween!!
